STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS NOTE
Closed Position — State 0 (Ps.Ce–0)
1. Object of analysis
The present note establishes the structural characterization of the configuration:
Closed Position — State 0 (Ps.Ce–0)
as a fundamental equilibrium state within the system of Well-Formed Cuban Social Dances defined by the MCC.
2. Structural definition
Ps.Ce–0 is defined as:
a linked two-body system in stable equilibrium, composed of a mutual V foot configuration and a closed classical link (ECC), operating at structural distance D1.
3. System decomposition
The configuration can be decomposed into two coupled subsystems:
3.1. Lower structural subsystem (LSS)
Mutual V foot state
Weight distribution
Ground interaction
3.2. Upper structural subsystem (USS)
Closed Classical Link (ECC)
Contact points
Force transmission interface
4. Equilibrium conditions
The system satisfies three simultaneous equilibrium conditions:
4.1. Static equilibrium
Balanced weight distribution
No net displacement of the center of mass
4.2. Structural equilibrium
Stable geometric configuration
Fixed relational positioning between components
4.3. Relational equilibrium
Continuous mechanical coupling
Absence of structural discontinuities
5. Contact topology
The ECC defines a closed contact topology with four primary nodes:
Manual grip (G)
Scapular contact — guiding component
Scapular contact — guided component
Elbow support — guided component
This topology ensures continuity of force transmission across the system.
6. Force system
The interaction within Ps.Ce–0 is governed by a combined force system:
6.1. Gravitational force
Passive load of the guided component’s arms
Downward vector contributing to system stabilization
6.2. Frame-closing force
Generated through scapular contact
Directed inward toward the couple axis
6.3. Hand-closing force
Generated at the grip
Opposing and balancing the frame-closing force
7. Vector structure
The system produces:
two pairs of opposing vectors per component
which define:
a bidirectional tension line,
intersecting at the central axis of the couple,
resulting in mechanical locking without rigidity.
8. Functional property
The ECC operates as:
a mechanical interface for instantaneous transmission of structural deformation
This enables:
direct propagation of movement,
absence of signal loss,
synchronization of both components.
9. Kinematic neutrality
Ps.Ce–0 is classified as:
dynamic neutral state (zero dynamic state)
characterized by:
absence of explicit movement,
maximum responsiveness to minimal input,
readiness for activation.
10. System function
Within the MCC framework, Ps.Ce–0 fulfills three primary roles:
initialization state
reference configuration
transition origin for figure execution
11. Principle of linked execution
All well-formed figures in the MCC system satisfy the condition:
execution through structural guidance within a continuous link
This excludes:
disconnection,
interpretative following,
independent motion outside the linked system.
12. Glossary (technical extension)
Structural system
Set of interacting elements governed by geometric and mechanical relations.
Coupling
Condition of continuous mechanical connection between components.
Closed topology
Configuration in which all interaction paths are internally connected.
Force transmission
Transfer of mechanical information through contact points.
Dynamic neutrality
State of equilibrium with immediate responsiveness to perturbation.
